The first day I was physically beaten by 1330 in the afternoon the fish were so fast and consistent. The speed and fight of these ........ just sensational. Also landed and released my personal best sailfish!LXF team are super friendly, professional, and know their waters, techniques, and signs for targets. All the gear in top condition. Accommodation very good, and the food amazing. Let’s start off with the fact I’m not a fisherwoman normally, I got an invite an just decided why not! I honestly am so glad I did!!. First The boat crew are so sweet and kind! Super professional but you can have some fun with them, and they love it and will definitely put a smile on your face! Second, Patrick your guide is so passionate and cares that you’re truly enjoying your trip! I’m a new person to this and I’ve left craving more! He was amazing. Great fun but also so good to teach! I appreciate his passion and love for the sport but also his absolute respect for the fish! The staff and Patrick take great care and responsibility about making sure the fish are cared for. Had the experience of a lifetime, fishing with medium to light tackle. Caught and released 5 sailfish in a span of less than 6 hours, with huge garfish, cobia and dorado in between. This is a highly professional and very friendly operation, thanks to Patrick and his superb crew. The whole trip was very well... read moreIt is the first deep sea fishing trip for my family. We had a great time in Rompin with Patrick and his team. The whole trip was very well organised. Patrick is an awesome guide - he is friendly, very knowledgeable and he knows the best places to fish in Peninsular Malaysia even at places most locals have not heard of. The boat was clean, well maintained and equipped with the necessary safety gears. It was an all-inclusive trip with basic accommodation, yummy seafood meals, free flow of drinks onboard + fishing rods, etc. We first caught smaller fishes as baits. It was so exciting to catch many huge mahi-mahis and a garfish. We had quite a close encounter with a sailfish. Patrick and his team did their best and spent additional time to search and catch sailfish. At the end of the trip, Patrick cleaned the fishes and packed it all nicely for my family to bring home. Highly recommend LXF Fishing Adventures! Thanks very much, Patrick and your wonderful team (Mus & Yen). :)Tips for beginners: Apply lots of sunblock and bring along some sweets/choc. Patrick and his crew work hard and make the days on the boat enjoyable. They are extremely professional. The crew are brilliant fishermen and have a lot of experience fishing the area - they are very successful as a result. This crew are perfect for both experienced and novice anglers. They are patient when teaching and explaining things, but can also educate the most experienced anglers.I have fished with LXF a few times now and each trip has offered something slightly different. An abundance of sailfish is often the main target. However, we have caught dorado, cobia, wahoo, mackerel, queen fish, bonito, barracuda and more! This really is an exceptional experience. We had an extremely well organised itinery by LXF, that got us to Rompin and ready to tackle what was to be a manic 3 days of fishing. LXF looked after us and put us onto sailfish after sailfish. Pat and his fishing crews were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and good humour to be around. Even the "hacks" in our group caught fish! My youngest was pulling up five fish at a time and having a blast as we caught bait for the big fish. My boys wolfed down fresh white fish sashimi that Pat cut up on deck and when we started pulling up squid and eating some of that with wasabi and soy sauce, they were in heaven. After several hours of the smaller fish and squid we moved on and my son caught a huge barracuda, some awesome pics, followed over the next hour or two by a couple giant sailfish. We'll definitely be back, next time with the wives, and make it a full family affair. Also, the seafood we had ashore the two nights there was worth going for just for that! Had the experience of a lifetime, fishing with medium to light tackle. Caught and released 5 sailfish in a span of less than 6 hours, with huge garfish, cobia and dorado in between. This is a highly professional and very friendly operation, thanks to Patrick and his superb crew. The whole trip was very well... read moreIt is the first deep sea fishing trip for my family. We had a great time in Rompin with Patrick and his team. The whole trip was very well organised. Patrick is an awesome guide - he is friendly, very knowledgeable and he knows the best places to fish in Peninsular Malaysia even at places most locals have not heard of. The boat was clean, well maintained and equipped with the necessary safety gears. It was an all-inclusive trip with basic accommodation, yummy seafood meals, free flow of drinks onboard + fishing rods, etc. We first caught smaller fishes as baits. It was so exciting to catch many huge mahi-mahis and a garfish. We had quite a close encounter with a sailfish. Patrick and his team did their best and spent additional time to search and catch sailfish. At the end of the trip, Patrick cleaned the fishes and packed it all nicely for my family to bring home. Highly recommend LXF Fishing Adventures! Thanks very much, Patrick and your wonderful team (Mus & Yen). :)Tips for beginners: Apply lots of sunblock and bring along some sweets/choc. Patrick and his crew work hard and make the days on the boat enjoyable. They are extremely professional. The crew are brilliant fishermen and have a lot of experience fishing the area - they are very successful as a result. This crew are perfect for both experienced and novice anglers. They are patient when teaching and explaining things, but can also educate the most experienced anglers.I have fished with LXF a few times now and each trip has offered something slightly different. An abundance of sailfish is often the main target. However, we have caught dorado, cobia, wahoo, mackerel, queen fish, bonito, barracuda and more! This really is an exceptional experience. We had an extremely well organised itinery by LXF, that got us to Rompin and ready to tackle what was to be a manic 3 days of fishing. LXF looked after us and put us onto sailfish after sailfish. Pat and his fishing crews were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and good humour to be around. Even the "hacks" in our group caught fish! What sets Pat and his team apart is the fact that it is all about the fish and 38 sailfish were photographed and released safely to fight another day.Well done LXF. Pat is an awesome guide and... read moreMe and a buddy and our four boys went out with Pat for a day, plus two nights at the chalet there....amazing fun! Pat is an awesome guide and we had a blast. My youngest was pulling up five fish at a time and having a blast as we caught bait for the big fish. My boys wolfed down fresh white fish sashimi that Pat cut up on deck and when we started pulling up squid and eating some of that with wasabi and soy sauce, they were in heaven. After several hours of the smaller fish and squid we moved on and my son caught a huge barracuda, some awesome pics, followed over the next hour or two by a couple giant sailfish. We'll definitely be back, next time with the wives, and make it a full family affair. Also, the seafood we had ashore the two nights there was worth going for just for that! Let’s start off with the fact I’m not a fisherwoman normally, I got an invite an just decided why not! I honestly am so glad I did!!. First The boat crew are so sweet and kind! Super professional but you can have some fun with them, and they love it and will definitely put a smile on your face! Second, Patrick your guide is so passionate and cares that you’re truly enjoying your trip! I’m a new person to this and I’ve left craving more! He was amazing. Great fun but also so good to teach! I appreciate his passion and love for the sport but also his absolute respect for the fish! The staff and Patrick take great care and responsibility about making sure the fish are cared for. As a diving instructor that was such a plus for me!! But than just the vibe of the entire weekend was incredible. Good company, good people, good times. I can not wait to do it again! I grew up fishing every chance I had and later in life spent many years chartering my boat out of Boynton Beach, Florida. This led to fishing many tournaments including the SKA and FLW pro kingfish tournaments and the Bacardi Billfish circuit in the Bahamas. During these years, I was also a contributing writer to Big Game Fishing journal. Over the last 12 years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel and fish all over the world with my family. To date anytime someone asks me what has been your best fishing experience, without hesitation, I tell them fishing with Pat in Malaysia. He is a professional with true passion for sport fishing and it shows in his charter business; his boat, gear, and knowledge are all top notch. Our family chartered him for a day outing from Kuala Rumpin and had a fantastic time with all of us having multiple catch and releases of sailfish. We had an extremely well organised itinery by LXF, that got us to Rompin and ready to tackle what was to be a manic 3 days of fishing. LXF looked after us and put us onto sailfish after sailfish. Pat and his fishing crews were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and good humour to be around. Even the "hacks" in our group caught fish! What sets Pat and his team apart is the fact that it is all about the fish and 38 sailfish were photographed and released safely to fight another day.Well done LXF. Pat is an awesome guide and... read moreMe and a buddy and our four boys went out with Pat for a day, plus two nights at the chalet there....amazing fun! Pat is an awesome guide and we had a blast. My youngest was pulling up five fish at a time and having a blast as we caught bait for the big fish. My boys wolfed down fresh white fish sashimi that Pat cut up on deck and when we started pulling up squid and eating some of that with wasabi and soy sauce, they were in heaven. After several hours of the smaller fish and squid we moved on and my son caught a huge barracuda, some awesome pics, followed over the next hour or two by a couple giant sailfish. We'll definitely be back, next time with the wives, and make it a full family affair. Also, the seafood we had ashore the two nights there was worth going for just for that! LXF look after their guests and seek to maximise the number of fish caught in the most efficient way. Importantly the team cares deeply about the wellness of the fish. The food and board is included in the price and the dining is brilliant seafood etc. 2 days fishing from sunrise to sun set with Sail fish, cobia tuna mahi mahi and mackerel.
