I just experienced my first ever sailfishing trip with LXF Fishing Adventures Charters in Kuala Rompin – Malaysia, and what an experience!  Owner Patrick and his crew took care of literally everything from start to finish and i caught Five!

Highly recommended!

Another awesome weekend with LXF fishing in September 2018. Patrick and his team are a finely tuned operation that give the full package and make it an incredibly fun weekend. We caught loads of fish, were well looked after and will be returning again next year, and the year after that….

I spent a couple of day fishing with LXF Fishing in September 2018 and I can honestly say it was two of the best days fishing of my life. Patrick and his team made me feel very welcome and they certainly knew their stuff. Whilst I have been fishing since I was a small kid, this was my first time after game fish. It was good to have some advice once I hooked into my first sailfish.

Unfortunately the first fish got away, but that wasn’t a problem. Patrick and his team managed to get me hooked up on 2 more occasions. They also got away. Not to worry, on the 4th take I managed to stay in contact and after about 30 mins I had my first sailfish weighing in at around 70lbs. That was the biggest fish I had ever caught in my life. What made it more satisfying was I landed it on a very light rod loaded with just 20lb line.

I t wasn’t much longer before I was into my next fish which was even bigger. Depending on who you ask and how many beers we have had but I still think it was 80 lbs at least.

As well as the two Sailfish I also managed to land a Dorado and a Spanish Mackerel both of which gave a tremendous scrap.

As I said at the beginning the two days were two of the best days fishing I have ever had. Patrick and his crew looked after us and made sure we wanted for nothing. Even provided beer for breakfast (I was on holiday). Evening meals were at local restaurants and the food was excellent. One of the best dishes was the Spanish Mackerel I had caught earlier in the day. Doesn’t get much fresher than that.

So in summary a great place and team for fishing and I was so impressed I am arranging for two of my friends to come over from the UK next season.
